On Saturday November 26, 2022, I attended a college football game in Evanston, Illinois at Ryan Field. The University of Illinois Fighting Illini came to town to take on the Northwestern Wildcats on mild fall day. The University of Illinois Fighting Illini team beat the Northwestern Wildcats by a score of 41 to 3. Northwestern avoided the shutout with a field goal by Adam Stage in the fourth quarter wtih the drive led by Northwestern quarterback Jack Lausch who came on after Cole Freeman threw four interceptions. Northwestern running back Evan Hull ran for 53 yards on the ground with 20 carries. Illinois running back tandem Reggie Love III and Chase Brown both scored a touchdown and combined for over 140 yards. The Northwestern 2022 college football team finished the season with a record of 1-11 with the only win coming against Nebraska in Ireland.
